For people who are interested in finding out more about owning a cocker spaniel and need some independent information, the website above is a useful place to start. But if you ever want to talk to somebody about the breed then feel free to give us a call!
We think the little black and white pups may be developing eyebrows! There’s a possibility that they may turn out to be tri-colours - black, white and tan. Alternatively they may be blue roans, as ticking doesn’t always come in until the second week. They’ve currently got very defined splashes of white on their chest. One has a little white paw, one a white splash on her nose and one a white chin. We’re looking forward to seeing how their markings end up…
The puppies at two days old. Lexy went out for her morning wee and we filmed the pups for the couple of minutes they were left alone. You can really see their little faces!
Our litter of cocker spaniel puppies, just a few hours old. Five girls: two golden and three black with white markings. Poor Lexy is exhausted here! For all videos see our Youtube channel.
Lexy had her puppies today! The whelping began at 11:30am, and by 1pm the first puppy had been born. By 5pm she was all finished and she is now resting on her new vet bed with five beautiful baby girls! Two are golden and three are mostly black with a few white patches. It’s too soon to tell how their markings will end up, but they are all lovely, strong, glossy and healthy. Lexy is being a very good mum and is washing and feeding them beautifully. She’s been out to the toilet a couple of times but can’t wait to rush back inside to her babies! And all this just in time for Mother’s Day…
